Can we help?

Within the limits of available funds, we like to support worthy causes in the communities where we operate.

Can we help?

Supporting communities in areas where we operate is an important part of CEMEX's approach. We do that in a variety of ways - from hands-on involvement in local projects through to donations to worthy casues.

The picture above shows senior managers led by CEMEX Vice President Lex Russell (second right) during a day's work in the churchyard at Wickwar. The project was undertaken as part of the company-wide "Lend-a-Hand" initiative which encourages employees to devote a day of their work time to local causes.

The immediate area around Wickwar has featured in more than £2.25m worth of community donations from CEMEX-related sources over recent the years.

Local good causes supported include a grant of £11,300 from the CEMEX Community Fund for repairs to the village hall, £8,000 for a village car park and £10,000 for Rangeworthy Village Hall. The company has also given £1,000 to Wickwar Village Hall and £1,000 to Wickwar Youth Club.

The CEMEX Foundation has been established to provide a single point of focus for all the company’s charitable, community support and employee engagement activities. You can find out more here.
