CEMEX Cycle Safety Campaign

CEMEX has been leading a campaign to improve cycle safety in London and around the country. Awareness amongst HGV drivers and cyclists of their interaction is key to the programme and the attached photographs illustrate some of the public exercises we have conducted in the capital and beyond.

Working with the Metropolitan Police, we have been delivering this programme to attempt to reduce the number of accidents involving cyclists that occur every year.

The programme also includes working with schools, enhanced driver training and equipping our vehicles with extra mirrors, signage and alarms – all aimed at reducing the chance of a cyclist being injured in a collision with a goods vehicle.

The attached press release also sets out a recent award achieved by CEMEX in relation to this programme and its benefits for vulnerable road users.
